Frage: Getriebeöl-Füllmengen Bombardier?
Sirko:
hat auch ne entlüftung, kann sogar darüber befüllt werden
Direkt oben am Schaltdom. Ich würde trotzdem nur die reduzierte Füllmenge einfüllen.

Sirko

Wie sagte Werner Beinhart einst: "Denk immä daran, mim Öl nich spaasaaam sein!"*fg*
Baxter:
Well, thanks for that!!
I thought I had it all sorted, I just changed mine last week with 80w90 GL4!
grr.
Mind you, what came out was disgusting and I had to use heat on the gearbox and the rear axle to get the drain and fill plugs out.
Is there a problem with GL5 in the gearbox the same as on the T3 where the additives eat the coatings on the synchro?
is that why you use GL4 in the gearbox and GL5 in the differential? no phosphor-bronze in the diff so you can use a "better" oil?
At the moment it does not concern me, even chip fat would do a better job of lubricating the insides of my Iltis that what I removed was doing.
I will treat it as a flush and add something better soon.
www.iltisteile.com:
there are 2 versions of synchronrings built in
the later ones have coated rings, in my opinion the use of gl5 in the gearbox (as is mentioned in the TDV "..gl5 can be used in transmission for filling back up to level..") is responisble for the often seen disfunction of the 3. gear syncroring..
but also dirt and water in gearbox lead to this problem
many people do not know what a ugly mixture they drive around
i already have cured this scratching trannys by flushing them with diesel, drive around the block and then refill with highgrade GL4+... sometimes :)
Baxter:
When you say 3rd gear, do you mean 3rd, or are you counting "G" as 1st?
Mine, when cold is slow into 2nd (3rd if you count G as 1st)
You can beat the synchro into 3rd if you are quick, but it is better when warm.
After the gear oil chnage it is improved, but not cured.
I'm not sure if this is normal for a Iltis gearbox? this is my first, and one of a handful in the UK there is not much information available that I understand.
A "Tranny" means something quite different here...
