when I fitted my AAZ, I bought the glow plugs off the shelf, Bosch items, not expensive.
I could not warrant spending ¤180 for the glow plug relay from VW Classicparts so I used a Volvo item from Bosch and adapted the wiring for the TZH unit and fitted it in place of the resistor pack.
the only issue was that the Volvo item has an internal temperature sender so it uses the temperature of the engine bay (motor room) rather than the temperature of the engine itself.
I have no problems starting it other than when it has been used and left for 20 minutes or so then I just use the cold start lever to advance the pump timing.

Who is "SHO", i have never found this out as they make some other interesting items I'm looking for, for T3's.
I will dig out the part numbers if needed?
