Okay, I've seen the price of second hand hoods (http://forum.club8090.co.uk/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
Mine is not too bad, but it has been painted in the past, although sound it's not the prettiest.
I also have 4 flecktarn doors which don't match the body or hood.
I thought rather than buy a hood and doors I could "launder" what i have by painting them.
I have no experience in this field, so I'm asking the question, Is this a usual thing to happen or is it a really bad idea?
If so, can anyone give me any clues as to the paint? I presume some form of synthetic PVC paint as used on curtain side commercial vehicles?

Baxter,
painting is one solution.
But what about offering those doors for an exchange against the ones you like to have?
There seems to be many friends of 'flecktarn'.

I didn't even think of that!
Postage from Germany to UK is a reasonable price.
Postage from the UK to Germany is stupidity!
Would people really swap Olive doors for Flecktarn?
My drivers door is damaged, the zip is broken.

I was with my door at a car saddlery to get the "glass" changed. He could also sew a new zipper in over here.

I have a trim ship accross the road from my workshop, sadly he cannt fit the door in his sewing machine.
Stripping the fabric from the frame is a lot of work!
At the moment I do not know what to do, some good, used RAL6014 doors are my choice but it the shipping costs that make it expensive.

Hi Baxter,
You can paint the doors and the hood with a special screenprint-colour.
It's called VINIFLAT by ManoukianArgon.
