Vw iltis windscreen dimensions.

Hi.
Not been here for a little while.
Someone found my blog at www.iltis.co.uk and then booked a iltis in for me to work on.
One of the jobs to do was to replace the lower windscreen surround.
While the windscreen was out I took the liberty of measuring the windscreen as when I needed a windscreen no one could tell me the dimensions!



Just thought it maybe useful info for the wiki.

Hi Simon,

i don´t know the dimensions, but the windscreen is the same from VW 181 "Kübelwagen".
Maybe it´s interesting for you.

Yes, but in the UK niether are easy bought.
It is easier anc heaper to get a windscreen supplier to simply make a windscreen from laminated glass.
When I needed one I could not find the dimensions, I thought the dimensions may be useful to others if they are in the same position i was, no windscreen to copy from!

This year the Glaser made me two new windscreen with laminated glass 8mm
I hope I have time to look for the measure tomorrow

I have a feeling the one I measured wasn't a manufactured one, but a handmade one.
It would be interesting for me to compare measurements (as it were!!) Not at the urinal though.. please.

the measured of my windscreen's are the same as yours (the are made from an orginal)
but only 6mm
